“King Midas” 6 inch (150mm) petty blade knife. This handsome petty knife was touched by King Midas himself and frozen in mid-transformation just for you. The clear poly resin handle transitions along the tang of the blade to gold leaf flake. Everything Midas touched turned to gold, but everything you touch with this knife becomes something so much more precious. Wield the golden handle and the steel blade to create the most luxurious dishes that you can still eat.
The blade is made from molybdenum vanadium [stainless] steel, which is a mid-grade stainless steel hardened to HRC 57. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done, won’t rust, and easy to sharpen. You won't have to baby this knife. The edge angle is sharpened to 15 degrees and stropped for a razor sharp edge. Full flat grind (tapers from spine to cutting edge). The blade is 6” (150 mm) long, 1.122” (29.5 mm) tall, & 0.073” (1.85 mm) thick at the spine with a distal taper (gets thinner as it goes to the tip). The total length of the knife is 10.7” (272 mm).
