“Skully Gumdrops” 6 inch (150mm) petty blade knife. The wa-style handle on this knife is composed of a crystal clear polyurethane resin, interrupted only slightly by some idiosyncratic red and green shapes. Look closely (with your x-ray vision) and you'll see that the red and green dyes form the wisps and gumdrops of color, but also that two green skulls float in the suspension. It's great having x-ray vision. You see the oddest things.
The blade is made from molybdenum vanadium [stainless] steel, which is a mid-grade stainless steel hardened to HRC 57. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done, won’t rust, and easy to sharpen. You won't have to baby this knife. The edge angle is sharpened to 15 degrees and stropped for a razor sharp edge. Full flat grind (tapers from spine to cutting edge). The blade is 6” (150 mm) long, 1.122” (29.5 mm) tall, & 0.073” (1.85 mm) thick at the spine with a distal taper (gets thinner as it goes to the tip). The total length of the knife is 10.7” (272 mm).
